
Indigenous Community Justice Program Administrator
One Year Contract – Full Time
$43,000-$45,000 plus Benefits
Responsibilities:
The Program Administrator will aid the Program Coordinator and Director with the delivery of the Indigenous Community Justice Program (ICJP) with the focus areas in administrative support. The ICJP is a post charge diversion program for Indigenous people involved with the justice system.
Responsibilities include case management, client file management, facilitating hearing circles, programming, attending court to provide updates, preparing reports, program promotion, and client support.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in the justice system
• Knowledge of alternative justice systems
• Administrative skills, including writing, proofing, tracking reports, case noting, organizing calls and emails, and other office duty experience
• Knowledge of social and cultural barriers faced by urban Indigenous people
• Ability to network and liaison with other agencies
• Knowledge/experience in case management procedures
• Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
• Experience working within a community-based organization
• Satisfactory criminal records check
• Must have a valid driver’s license
