Our Government & External Relations team is looking for a Director, Indigenous Partnerships to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growth-oriented organization and to gain experience and an understanding of the energy sector.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure our commitment to our Statement of Indigenous Principles
  • Build and Maintain effective relationships with Indigenous Peoples across our existing operations and new markets.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive Indigenous relations engagement plans to support the successful growth and operation of Evolugen.
  • Work with the Indigenous relations working group to ensure coordination and communication between operations and business development.
  • Represent Evolugen within various associations Indigenous relations working groups.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings between Indigenous communities
  • Coordinate information sessions in Indigenous communities.
  • Support our internal resources on Indigenous relationships, through mentorship and coaching.

  • Mastered integration and collaboration
  • Demonstrated leadership, management skills and experience
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Significant resilience and demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Experience managing and responding to issues and crisis as part of an integrated team
  • Self-driven, outcome-focused, strong analytical and conceptual skills.

What you must have:

  • 10-15 years related experience related to Indigenous Relations, stakeholder engagement and project management
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks
  • Experience working in a large-scale, fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record in Indigenous and community engagement in highly regulated environments with senior internal and external stakeholders including experience in Indigenous agreement negotiations
